Tristan Rogers, born June 3, 1946, in Melbourne, Australia, is a veteran actor best known for his iconic role as Robert Scorpio on the soap opera General Hospital. He first appeared on the show in 1980, quickly becoming a fan favorite as the suave secret agent turned police commissioner and district attorney. His character’s storylines, including the legendary “Ice Princess” arc, helped define the golden era of daytime television.

In addition to his work on General Hospital, Rogers also starred in its spinoff General Hospital: Night Shift and earned a Daytime Emmy Award for his performance in the digital drama Studio City. Before moving to Hollywood in 1979, he appeared in several Australian TV series. Rogers has also lent his voice to animated films, including the role of Jake in Disney’s The Rescuers Down Under. He lives in Palm Springs and is a father of two.

The actor made his General Hospital debut in 1980, 17 years after the iconic medical drama first premiered. However, in classic soap opera style, Scorpio was revealed to be alive and made a dramatic return in 2006.

Rogers’ most recent appearance aired during the show’s 62nd season on November 12, 2024, when Robert left town alongside his ex-wife, Holly Sutton, according to Soap Opera Digest.
