Multiple children were trapped in the wreckage of a horrific bus crash on Thursday after their bus flipped on its way back from a field trip. The accident occurred with 35 students and two adults from Pine Ridge Middle School in South Carolina onboard. They were traveling along I-77 when the bus blew a tire, causing it to flip over.

In the aftermath of the crash, several children were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Emergency services responded swiftly, sending five medical helicopters to the site to transport the injured. The severity of the accident was evident from the immediate medical response required.
