‘Arctic Frost’: Biden FBI Investigated Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA, Republican Groups

Former President Joe Biden’s FBI reportedly investigated numerous conservative organizations — including Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA — under a wide-ranging probe known as “Arctic Frost.”

On Tuesday, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) informed the Senate Judiciary Committee that the operation had expanded significantly, with whistleblowers now providing new details. Originally designed to examine efforts to overturn the 2020 election, Arctic Frost soon broadened to target various conservative groups, the Republican National Committee, and other GOP-linked entities.

Grassley also revealed that at least one FBI agent expressed excitement when Trump adviser Peter Navarro was charged with contempt of Congress.

“Arctic Frost was the FBI case opened and approved by anti-Trump FBI agent Timothy Thibault. It later evolved into Jack Smith’s elector case against Trump. The new records show that Arctic Frost extended far beyond election matters,” Grassley explained.

According to him, the probe was widened to encompass a long list of Republican organizations, including the RNC, the Republican Attorneys General Association, and multiple Trump-aligned groups. In total, 92 Republican-related individuals and organizations were placed under FBI scrutiny — among them, Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA.

Grassley argued this revealed political bias:

“Arctic Frost wasn’t simply about Trump. It became the tool for partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors to go after the broader Republican political structure. Senator Johnson and I are now releasing these records publicly so Americans can see what government agencies are capable of when political agendas drive their work.”

He further noted that his investigative efforts exposed the political motives behind Navarro’s prosecution. When Agent Thibault learned DOJ would press charges, he reportedly responded, “Wow, great.”

The existence of Arctic Frost first came to light in January, prompting Senate scrutiny.

Meanwhile, fresh concerns are emerging regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino suggested Monday that accused killer Tyler Robinson may have been aided by an “extended network,” citing multiple warning signs ignored before the attack.

According to The Post, investigators are probing whether Robinson had ties to pro-trans online communities, members of the sexualized “furry” subculture, or others who may have known of his plans in advance. Bongino told Fox News’ America’s Newsroom that authorities are exploring whether Kirk’s murder — the killing of a 31-year-old conservative leader, husband, and father of two — was part of a coordinated effort, possibly with financial support or silent enablers.

“We’ll be issuing a lot of subpoenas to determine if there was indeed an extended network,” Bongino stated.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox also weighed in Friday, saying Robinson had been “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” though he was not formally affiliated with any political party. Investigators confirmed Robinson “disliked” Kirk and his political positions.

Additional reports suggest Robinson lived with a boyfriend transitioning from male to female. FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox that Robinson even exchanged text messages with another person, declaring he had an opportunity to kill Kirk and intended to act on it due to his hatred of what Kirk represented.
