Plastic surgery enthusiast drops $200,000 to transform appearance

From Barbie on Screen to Barbie in Real Life

Margot Robbie may be dazzling audiences as the picture-perfect Barbie in the upcoming film alongside Ryan Gosling’s Ken, but another Australian is grabbing attention for a different take on the iconic doll.

Tara McConachy, 33, proudly calls herself “Australia’s Limited Edition Barbie Doll.” Unlike Robbie’s natural portrayal, McConachy has spent over $200,000 on extreme plastic surgery—and she’s not done yet.

A Passion Turned Obsession

Standing at 5’7″ and weighing only 100 pounds (implants included), McConachy has undergone:

  • 5 breast augmentations

  • 6 nose jobs

  • Eye color change to vibrant green

  • Cheek and butt implants

  • Countless rounds of Botox and fillers

Her body now measures 37-17-29—shockingly close to Barbie’s unrealistic proportions.

McConachy’s journey began at 20, when her father gifted her breast and lip enhancements for her birthday. “It was euphoric,” she recalled. “I eat, breathe, and dream about aesthetics. If you can modify your body, why not?”

She added, “Anywhere you can put filler, I will literally put it in my face.”

Rejection, Reality, and ‘Botched’

Despite her obsession, many surgeons refuse to continue enhancing her. McConachy—also known as Jayne—was featured on Botched Season 6. She sought larger implants, hoping to increase attention.

“I’m on a quest for a bigger chest,” she said on the show. “That’s my wow factor.”

However, doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif refused, citing her dangerously low BMI and health risks. “You need to gain weight,” Nassif told her. “I’m worried about your health—especially your mental health.”

When Doctors Say No, She Finds New Ones

Jayne admitted she sees multiple doctors and won’t stop if one says no. “If they all refuse, I’ll find someone else.”

She previously reduced her implants from 1000cc to 540cc due to back pain—but now plans to go even larger.

Next Stop: Turkey

Rejected in Hollywood, McConachy is heading to Turkey to increase her breast size to 1500cc.
“With me, it’s not a case of less is more. It’s the more, the better,” she said.

Recent Instagram posts suggest she has already undergone another augmentation, funded in part by offering exclusive content to fans.

Final Thoughts

Tara McConachy’s look may not be for everyone, and many still prefer Margot Robbie’s more natural Barbie style. But Tara remains unapologetic in her pursuit of perfection.
