Famous Musician Shares News of Brain Damage

At 75, musician Rick Springfield recently learned he sustained brain damage from a 25-foot fall during a 2000 Las Vegas performance. Initially believed to be a minor injury, a recent full-body MRI revealed lasting effects from the incident.

Despite the diagnosis, Springfield remains proactive—exploring ketamine therapy to support mental health and reduce alcohol use. He credits his father’s death from an untreated condition as motivation to stay vigilant with his health.

“I could find out I have terminal cancer tomorrow,” he says, “but I can only do all I can do.”

His story is a reminder that it’s never too late to confront past injuries and prioritize well-being.
