‘American star’ exec and husband found…

Robin Kaye, the renowned music supervisor best known for her work on *American Idol*, has been found dead along with her husband, Thomas Deluca, in what authorities are treating as a double homicide. The couple was discovered inside their Encino home after LAPD officers conducted a welfare check prompted by family members who hadn’t heard from them in four days.

Police noticed blood near the front door and, after failing to make contact, broke a window to enter the house. Inside, they found both Kaye and Deluca dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The deaths are being investigated as a double murder, though details remain limited and no suspects have been arrested. The case has raised further concerns due to a prior incident at the same residence just days earlier, when someone reportedly tried to break into the home.

Witnesses claimed to have seen a suspect hopping the fence and possibly carrying a firearm. Police searched the area, including with a helicopter, but found no evidence of forced entry.

It is not yet clear whether that attempted break-in is connected to the killings. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage, and the home itself reportedly wasn’t ransacked. Robin Kaye had a highly respected career, working on *American Idol* for at least 15 seasons and earning multiple honors from the Guild of Music Supervisors. She also contributed to shows like *Lip Sync Battle* and other major productions. Her death has shocked the entertainment industry, where she was known for her exceptional talent and influence on the soundtracks of popular television. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues and loved ones mourn this tragic and deeply unsettling loss.
