Tech CEO Caught on Jumbotron, Prompting Affair Rumors

Tech entrepreneur Andy Byron is making headlines after being caught on a stadium jumbotron in a surprising moment at a recent Coldplay concert.

Byron, CEO of the data startup Astronomer, was seen embracing Kristin Cabot, the company’s chief people officer, in a way that appeared romantic. The footage quickly spread across social media on Thursday, raising questions about their relationship — especially since the woman in the video was not Byron’s wife.

Astronomer, a private company valued at over $1 billion since 2022, recently relocated its headquarters to New York City. It’s unclear whether Byron’s wife was at the concert, where Coldplay frontman Chris Martin also seemed to notice the pair during their hug.

“Oh, look at these two,” Martin said as the camera caught the embracing pair, who quickly separated when their image was beamed on the big screen to tens of thousands of fans enjoying the show.

“All right, come on, you’re OK,” Martin added. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Coldplay performed Tuesday and Wednesday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, home of the NFL’s New England Patriots. Andy Byron and his wife, both 50, live nearby in Northborough, according to public records.

Byron has been CEO of Astronomer since July 2023, per his LinkedIn. Before that, he held senior roles at cybersecurity and software companies. Astronomer, known for its data orchestration tools, is well-regarded in the tech world and serves clients ranging from banks to media companies.

Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief People Officer, joined nine months ago. On LinkedIn, she describes herself as someone who “wins trust with employees of all levels from CEOs to assistants.” Given the recent headlines, her title has never sounded more ironic.
