Zohran Mamdani Hits Back After Trump Thr**ts
Zohran Mamdani isn’t backing down—even with threats coming straight from the Oval Office. After former President Donald Trump floated the idea of deporting him, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor fired back with force.
A Rising Political Force
Just a week ago, Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic Socialist from Queens, was relatively unknown outside New York. That changed overnight after he shocked the nation by defeating party favorite Andrew Cuomo in the NYC mayoral primary.
Now, Mamdani is being hailed as the next big hope for progressive Democrats. His platform? A $30 minimum wage, free public buses, universal preschool, and taxing the ultra-wealthy to pay for it all.
Trump Lashes Out
Trump wasted no time attacking Mamdani. On Truth Social, he called him a “100% Communist Lunatic.” Later, in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Trump doubled down:
“If he does get in, I’m going to be president, and he’s going to have to do the right thing—or they’re not getting any money.”
Trump’s comments seemed aimed not just at Mamdani’s policies but at the candidate himself.
Mamdani Responds
On NBC’s Meet the Press, Mamdani addressed Trump’s personal attacks.
“I’ve had to get used to the president talking about how I look, sound, or where I’m from. He wants to distract from what I’m fi*hting for: the working people he promised to support, then be**ayed.”
